Your everyday purchases can earn you credit towards your child’s tuition.   If you don’t have a child currently attending St. Patrick School, your purchases can be designated to help another family or to the school.

  • Purpose:  The Tuition Rebate Program, or Scrip, utilizes your everyday purchases to earn credit to be used towards tuition.
  • How It Works:  Families purchase Scrip (gift cards and/or certificates) for everyday expenses like food, clothing, gas, travel, and entertainment for national and local businesses at face value, but earn a percentage of each dollar of scrip purchased back in credit. The school purchases the Scrip at discounted rates from Great Lakes Scrip.  The rates are determined by each retailer and can range from 2% to 20%.  The discounted amount is saved in a Tuition Rebate Account through St. Patrick School under the family’s name.  That amount accumulates through the school year as purchases are made with the total then applied to the following year’s tuition.  Some families have been able to save $1500 or more toward their child’s tuition!  The program is open to anyone.  If your child is not yet of school age, but will be next year, why not start saving now.  You can enroll in the program now and be earning credit toward your child’s first year here at St. Patrick.  Those who do not have students attending St. Patrick School can designate their savings go to a family or families who attend St. Patrick School, or to the General Tuition Fund which is used for tuition assistance.  Recruit your family and friends to help you save!

Getting Started

  • St. Patrick School families complete an enrollment form found below (download and print)  which is available here as well as at the school office, church office, and the church vestibule. This form establishes your Tuition Rebate Account.  Once your Tuition Rebate Account has been established, family and friends can then designate their savings to be applied to your account.
  • Complete a  designate form (download below) to apply the savings to your family, another family, or to the general fund.
  • Complete an order form (download below) and return it to the St. Patrick School office along with full payment (cash or checks made payable to “Tuition Rebate Program”) by 9:15 a.m. Monday mornings. Order forms and payment are also accepted in the weekend collection basket (in envelopes) marked “Scrip” or “Tuition Rebate Program.” Orders can also be placed online at  To order online, you must register to create an online account.  Visit the scrip instruction page for details on how to set up your account.  Orders can be picked up in the school office on Thursdays after 12:00 p.m. or can be sent home with your child. A new order form is included with each order. When you receive your order, you will also be informed of the amount of savings earned with that order and the balance of your account—watch your balance grow with each order.
  • The school places an order each week even through the summer. You choose the frequency of your orders: weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc. Summer orders can be picked up in the school office on Thursdays between 9:00—11:00 a.m. or other arrangements can be made.
  • The school office keeps a supply of Scrip for some of the most frequently ordered retailers (several denominations of Giant Eagle, Shop ‘n Save, Staples, Walmart, and Sheetz, to name a few). Stop by the school to purchase these any day during regular school hours.
